Interested individuals will have the opportunity to take private and group class lessons in Violin, Viola, Cello, Double-bass, piano, and voice….for little to no cost. We are currently enrolling new students to join the school now and will continue enrollment throughout the year.
All activities of the program are subsidized through partnership and private donations. Subsidies are based on individual needs, and no student will be turned away for inability to pay.
Group activities options will include chamber groups of various sizes, a World Music Choir, and the Virtuosi Baroque Chamber Ensemble. All lessons and classes are taught by leading Virtuosi musicians who are committed to the needs of Hartford’s blossoming music and arts scene.
This is a fantastic and unprecedented opportunity to develop the artistic quality of our city, to connect across neighborhoods and financial limitations. Where race and class divisions persist, Virtuosi and the First Presbyterian Church of Hartford seek to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
